My 1965 Dodge Dart ran today without stalling, smoking, or smelling for the first time since it was parked when I was born in 1997. After three years of being baffled by it's tendency to stop running when asked to go over 55 miles per hour, finally replacing a fuel pickup and spilling half a tank of gas onto my chest and garage floor has made the Dart a usable car. I did the repair myself, with my dad only sitting by drinking a beer talking me through it. It feels really good. I also took off the hub caps because they look too nice for the car.

I'm not a big fan either (you can see my Saab wagon in the background of the first picture, about as european as you can get), but they're so fun to work on and drive. They're hard not to like.
